I use WinX YouTube Downloader, I've only ever used it with YT but they claim you can dld from over 300 video sites. I've never used Mediahuman so can't comment on that.

Can't remember Sky, but yes it's safe and it works. It's a case of trial and error to find the one that suits you.

Always scan what you put on your PC, goes without saying really :)

The one I use is 4K Video downloader https://www.4kdownload.com/
It does Mp3 if you are just wanting the sound and mp4 for video.
On most downloads it offers you various different bitrates (file sizes) as well.

Select what format and resolution you want...UPTO 8K:love:love ...or just grab the audio from it;) ...see screenshot below

In my past experience of Video/music download browser extensions is that they're a pain in the arse and never seem to work. So best use a stand alone app/prog.

Hope you've found the right prog Sky :)

I use VDownloader ..just copy the url into the box and choose what format you want, plus it can search for video's for you

I always use 4k Video Downloader, Very easy to use and the sound quality is great.

I use Internet Download Manager.  It'll download any video that's your browser sees in including YouTube vids, I use the Firefox extension.  The only exception is that it doesn't download vids from streaming companies like Netflix or Prime.  Been using it for years.
