| DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ALL OF THE MAD MAX MOVIES YET. SPOILER ALERT! Furiosa A Mad Max Saga is a Prequel to Fury Road. The Character Furiosa is younger in this one & older in Fury Road so Fury Road takes place after Furiosa A Mad Max Saga. Watching Furiosa A Mad Max Saga first then Fury Road second would be better if you want to watch it in the Proper Timeline. Furiosa begins 15 years before Mad Max: Fury Road and ends the day before that movie starts. Unlike Fury Road, which takes place over three days, Furiosa is composed of three acts that span 15 years. The first part of Furiosa details her kidnapping from the Green Place of Many Mothers. Time then advances to when Furiosa becomes Immortan Joe’s Imperator. Finally, the movie wraps up years after that when Furiosa stows Joe’s wives away on her War Rig. What’s confusing about Furiosa’s place on the Mad Max timeline is that Fury Road sort of rebooted things. In the new continuity, instead of occurring in the 1970s, the original Mad Max took place in the late 2010s or 2020s. We can assume that Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior still takes place three years after Mad Max and that Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome is set fifteen years after that. At some point after Beyond Thunderdome, Max is captured by Immortan Joe and the events of Fury Road take place. Reboot Mad Max Timeline: Taking into account the above, we can come up with the following rough timeline for the Mad Max franchise: Sometime between 2015-2030: Oil and water become scarce. Oil Wars and Water Wars occur. Australian citizens protest their government. Government cracks down on protestors and is overthrown. Anarchy reigns. Colonel Joe Moore forms his gang. 2020s-2030s: The remaining Australian government members formed the Main Force Patrol in an attempt to fight the gangs that had formed in the outback. 2020s-2030s: Events of Mad Max take place. MFP officer Max Rockatansky goes rogue and kills Toecutter’s gang before heading into the wasteland. 2020s-2030s: The events of Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior take place. 2040s-2050s: The events of Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome take place. Sometime later (15 years before Fury Road): Act One of Furiosa takes place. Furiosa is kidnapped by Immortan Joe’s gang. Sometime later (around 7 years before Fury Road): Act Two of Furiosa takes place. Furiosa defeats Dementus and becomes Immortan Joe’s Imperator. 2060s-2070s: Mad Max: Fury Road takes place. Is Mad Max Really in his 50s or 60s in Fury Road? Of course, what’s confusing about this timeline is that Max would have to be in his 50s or 60s when Fury Road takes place. Well, that’s because when the movie was initially conceptualized in the late 1990s, George Miller envisioned Mel Gibson reprising the role of Max Rockatansky. Miller isn’t especially concerned with when everything takes place, so the original trilogy was only lightly retconned, so things make sense. We’ll have to accept that despite his hard life, the radiation and deprivation somehow made Max age at a slower rate. Ultimately, the timeline for Mad Max is flexible, reflecting George Miller’s emphasis on thematic continuity over strict chronological accuracy. This allows for creative freedom while maintaining the series’ core essence. Furiosa’s story enriches the lore by showcasing her transformation and the brutal world she navigates, providing deeper context to Fury Road. While the exact dates and ages may be ambiguous, the narrative threads connect the characters and events meaningfully. Fans can enjoy piecing together the timeline, understanding that the Mad Max universe thrives on its mythic and chaotic nature. This approach keeps the franchise fresh and engaging, ensuring that each installment offers new insights and adventures, even as the timeline remains fluid and open to interpretation. | |

| This is perfect timing as someone is gradually uploading all of these in 60-fps, he has already done 3 of them and when they are all uploaded i will watch them. I have only ever watched the original that was filmed in Australia, Broken Hill in New South Wales to be exact and i was living a little further south of there. There is very little in Broken Hill and even less when you leave the town perimeter, it is as desolate as it looks in the movie. This will come in handy having the correct order to watch it in Last edited by Pete6617 on 2024-07-01 10:41:22 | |

| 60FPS that's very cool Pete. A lot of Australia seems to be very desolate. I've heard there are places that you can drive almost 50 miles & not see a person in sight. Where I Live in the Southern US I am about 15 Miles from a city. I have freedoms People don't have that live in the city. I can blare a movie or music as loud as I want cause my closest neighbor is 200 yards away. I can shoot my Shotgun, Rifle or Handgun any time I want. LOL That's what's cool about living in desolate areas. No Humans to bother you. LOL If you've ever seen Duck Dynasty well that's me without the long beard or the money. Be careful not to run into Mick Taylor from Wolf Creek out there. Make sure you have a Long Range & Short Range gun on hand in the Outback. Cheers Pete. | |

| I prefer to see them a different way....timeline wise 2020s-2030s: The remaining Australian government members formed the Main Force Patrol in an attempt to fight the gangs that had formed in the outback. 2020s-2030s: Events of Mad Max take place. MFP officer Max Rockatansky goes rogue and kills Toecutter’s gang before heading into the wasteland. 2020s-2030s: The events of Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior take place...at around the same time (15 years before Fury Road): Act One of Furiosa takes place. Furiosa is kidnapped by Immortan Joe’s gang. Sometime later (around 7 years before Fury Road): Act Two of Furiosa takes place. Furiosa defeats Dementus and becomes Immortan Joe’s Imperator. 7 years later Max Returns to the clifftop overlooking where the oil refinery was in Mad Max 2 and is captured by Immortan Joe's gang...(opening scene in Mad Max Fury Road) 2040s-2050s: Mad Max: Fury Road takes place.... Comic Book explains how Max gets his V8 back...Max wanders the wasteland until... 2050s-2060s: The events of Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome take place. This way it explains why Max is still young in Fury Road...also why it looks more desolate in Mad Max 3...it also gives the microlight pilot from Max 2 time to find a chick, have his kid, and watch him grow up a bit before teaching him how to fly etc (kid is about 10 in Max 3 so 15 years in total)...plus the children who find him could be the last generation from "The Green Place"...?...ooooo plot juicyfier right there Kinda fits Last edited by B4ND1T69 on 2024-06-27 20:51:59 | |

| That's cool as well B4ND1T69. Both Timelines can work. The Timelines are open to any Interpretation & are very Flexible. That's what so great about the Mad Max Movies. Each person can see them in different ways instead of just one Rigid Timeline. George Miller is not set on one set Timeline. He is more about the Creative Freedom & Action than about the Timelines. | |

| Mad Max: The Wasteland will be set about a year before the opening scene of Fury Road. Since Fury Road was delayed so long it gave George Miller and his crew time to write two back stories for Max and Furiosa. The Wasteland is centered on Max and will be incredibly bleak according to Mark Sexton. Max will have his V8 Interceptor. Furiosa will not make an appearance in this film | |

| If you want to watch another movie with Fifi (Roger Ward) & Goose (Seve Bisley from Mad Max 1979 then watch Boar 2017. Boar also has John Jarrat (Wolf Creek), Big Boy Nathan Jones (Mad Max Furiosa) & Bill Moseley (The Devil's Rejects). Quite a Cast of Characters even though it's not a great movie it's worth watching to see them. | |

| Here is a scene from Boar (2017) where Nathan Jones sings little bit of Ice Ice Baby while Driving. Funny to see a Giant Rapping. https://www.tiktok.com/@chrissun666/video/7058087378606460162 He would have been great playing in Game Of Thrones against The Mountain! You'll have to look up Nathan Jones' backstory. They need to make a Biography Movie about his Life with him Playing himself in it. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0428923/bio/ Last edited by ToeCutter on 2024-07-07 10:26:58 | |
