| I uploaded 79 torrents between February and April. Most of them authored by me. All of them new to this site. I went to great lengths to satisfy each and every whim of the mighty staff (which us peasants can't even contact directly): new trackers in old .torrent files I've been seeding for decades (but not too many), screenshots (but not on the staff-only image hosting service), covers (only one aspect ratio), IMDB IDs where possible, etc. You think any staff member stopped by to promote me? No. One of them got notified automatically that I did not upload torrents in my fourth month as a trial uploader and demoted me unceremoniously. Super big thanks to the admins and Mods that make this magical place happen... For how many months? For ever? You uploaded only two torrents in May. Rules for thee, but not for me? Sorry, I'm just being silly... Rules are for for trial peasants, not you. Thank you for the suggestion, but I do not wish to subject myself to further abuse. | |

| My inbox is always open to all members. You were informed of and agreed to the obligations of trial uploaders when you were granted uploader status. Any trial uploader that can't or won't comply with their agreement is demoted "unceremoniously". | |

| Totally understand your frustration ittv but lashing out before checking a few things is a bit much...These are not "the whims of the mighty staff"... ....they are the Site Rules which every single uploader so far agrees to and sticks with if they intend to keep uploading here.You are required to upload 5 torrents a month so Staff know your serious about uploading and not just dumping a few torrents, or a single one, and stopping, like quite a few trialists do. When Staff are happy that you meet all criteria then you get promoted, and the limits/restrictions go away  When you stopped uploading suddenly Staff had to demote you incase your account was abandoned/unused/hacked. We have a thread you may have missed for uploaders who intend to be away for any amount of time that may affect their status... If you had posted in there before you stopped uploading then the Staff would have known and you would have kept your status for when you got back. We have quite a few new Trialists who say they will abide by the rules....do so for a short time....and then upload crap or just ignore the Rules/Staff etc and cause hassle....so every trialist gets treated the same. These Rules and Conditions are for everyone so don't take it personally.  | |

| Or 79, right? I don't think that's how it works. Four months and 79 torrents were plenty of opportunities to promote me. You're either in the club, or you're wasting your time. After 79 torrents in three months? Let's be serious for a moment. My biggest contribution to the Italian BitTorrent community is recording, converting and sharing one Sanremo Festival each year - that's 5 torrents a year. The rest is a bonus. Asking me to upload 5+ torrents each month for the foreseeable future is just yanking my chain. I was under the impression that the requirement was only for the first three months, which seemed reasonable (minus the part where this was not an average value, but math is hard), but this is ridiculous... How many trial uploaders got buried after uploading 79 torrents in three months? What kind of uploaders are you actually selecting for? What's this obsession with continuous uploads instead of quality or availability? Be careful what you optimise for, because that is what you are going to get. Hard not to. I am a human being, not just a username that gets abused without consequences. I try my hardest to contribute back to the community, but there is a limit to the number of hoops I will jump through. | |

| As has been said before... When you applied for trial uploader you agreed to the site rules. You also received a pm with useful links. It appears that you didn't took the time to look into them which could have prevented this. Our staff is not notified about uploaders that don't upload.. They take their time to look at each one individual and personal. As for promoting you.... We are not here for that.. We make sure you have a place to upload and we do not promote anyone except our site. My inbox is open to all members no matter which status they have.. There's no reason to start pointing a finger to people who are giving their free time to make this site possible. Hope you change your mind about not uploading here and if you do you can always contact me. | |

| Yeah, I figured that much. Can't possibly be promoted to a "verified uploader" in only four months, after uploading only 79 torrents. Must give it a few years, at a minimum of 5 new torrents per month. Make it a few decades, just to be on the safe side... I'm sorry, but that's a violation of those site rules you also agreed to, which clearly state "Do not PM any staff member for uploader's Status". I don't make the rules, I'm just mindlessly enforcing them. Computer says "no". Please try again in three months. Don't take it personally. You're welcome. You mean the nice people with ban hammers in their avatars? I have a sneaking suspicion as to which high-school bullying fantasies keep them going. Thank you, but life's too short to keep fighting windmills just to be tolerated where you are clearly not wanted. | |
