Hi I`d like to know if anyone uses Sandboxie for running cracked programs. Or Should i just use a virtual machine.
I`m a bit paranoid about programs accessing the internet even tho i`m on VPN, so prefer to run them offline. My old PC had a 3.5" bay and had put a hotswap enclosure which was really useful i could pop out 2.5" SSD drive and 3.5" really quick of which i had all cracked software one one of the operating systems of which i did not connect to internet; however this new PC has no bays, so looking for another solution.
The so called version of sandboxie available at this site in the windows apps section, is just the free one and does not have the supporter certificate which has extended abilities to run apps. I really would have loved to have tested it. I`m not opposed to buying Sandboxie  as it would save a lot more hard drive space than installing a virtual machine then eat up 30-60gb just for win 11 alone which would sux, not to mention all the extra resources it would hog. Whilst i see some vids of people running programs sandboxed in the free version with the occasional errors and crashing, i`d rather not install the cracked apps to PC itself rather have it install within the sandbox and run in that sandbox. I did this technique many years ago on XP and a very old version of Sandboxie and restricted the newly created sandbox from accessing the internet. Anyone used the supporters version is it any good and more importantly does it work?
Whilst i have installed some cracked programs directly to PC i.e Adobe premiere; It is such a headache to find and block the multiple connections and hidden connections it attempts to make.

Why not just use windows firewall to disable the cracked program access to the internet?
Win 11:>>Click the Start button or hit the Windows key on your keyboard, then type windows defender firewall and click the top result in the Start menu.>>When the Windows Defender Firewall window opens, click Advanced settings on the left.>>Select Outbound Rules from the left panel then, on the right, click New Rule under Actions.>>The New Outbound Rule Wizard opens here—for Rule Type, select Program, then click the Next button.>>Next, you’ll have the option to block all programs or a specific one. To block a specific app, select This program path and browse to the location of the app’s executable file. After entering the app’s path, click Next.>>Next, make sure Block the connection is selected, then click the Next button.>>In the Profile section of the wizard, make sure all three options (Domain, Private, and Public) are selected and click the Next button.>>Type in a name for your firewall rule like Block Google and add a description. A name for the rule is required, but a description is optional. When you’re finished, click the Finish button.

Appreciate the reply. Yep, this is what i do already to use my firewall to block incoming and outgoing connections to these exe files, however some programs are sneaky and will litter your PC with multiple .exe files scattered throughout in various sub folders and in win32 folders. To give an example i`ve blocked 11 .exe`s that are to do with adobe premiere, some may or may not actually connect to the internet but still no harm in blocking.:_:P:_:-) Anyways i ended up buying the supporters version of sandboxie the other day so will give it a go.

For example: I blocked  in my host-deny file Master PDF editor (for Linux-Ubuntu) :
https://code-industry.net/masterpdfeditor/
127.0.0.1 www.masterpdf.com
127.0.0.1 masterpdf.com
127.0.0.1 code-industry.net
127.0.0.1 reg.code-industry.net

It makes no different, It tells me over and over again: Not a valid license. So I give it up.
Unfortunately, there are no key generators for Linux available:_facepalm
