| So today i`m sharing a torrent thats 5gb, the peer shows he`s downloaded 1.78gb from me in this session but his progress shows only 0.8% which is odd. Also one time a few months ago one peer downloaded more than the size of the file! yet his progress was 0% Otherwise all my other peers and sharing shows fine but now and again i spot these wierd peers anyone know whats up with that? | |

| Hmm false alarm? i resumed sharing that particular torrent in order to find /block him, and the peer i uploaded the 1.78gb now shows 43% it could be the Qbitorrent playing up? but all the othe peers are showing fine no issues, unless its a cunning rouse and he`s doctored his percentage ? should i still block him or is this innocent and a know issue sometimes... I`ve stopped the torrent for the time being but will be watchful for future occurances, thxs for the assistance Last edited by realityshow on 2022-04-24 20:10:18 | |

| It's more than likely a RAIN Client...if it is then boot their a$$ off ya system and banned them ![]() ![]() ![]() Rain Clients are used by streaming and storage gaffs...they actually download the same file many many times to different slots on the streaming/storage places at the same time, hence the fake 0% that shows....iv'e had rain clients download 12 GB of a 1.6GB movie and still only be on 60% ish ![]() ![]() | |

| When i post i usually have to block a bunch of IP's from my torrents they all have amazon IP's and just download but don't seed. Seems like a bot farm to grab content. | |

| I am no better call saul but maybe copyright lawyers/copyright trolls would not actual download something to not break the law themselves, but just be connected and in it to get leecher IPs to sue them if they are from their legislation (country). You could post their IPs public (if admins allow it) and we expose them and blackmail them into giving us some BTC. | |

| Yeah, I noticed some leeching from some TorrentStorm 0.0.0.8 clients. From a few minutes of searching I found out that they may be people using IPTV services. I didn't want to look too much into it and it's not that serious of a problem so I just stop seeding the torrent instead. There are some plugins available for qbittorrent that can block certain clients for a set period of time when they are detected. | |

| They usually use seedboxes with vpn that's why you can't catch them so easily. Rain and Mono Torrent clients are like that. | |
