| Elden Ring does not seem to have Denuvo anyone else excited to try it out very soon or you think its worth buying since its FROM Software and they always make great games? I wanted to talk about P2E games. Basically they are crypto/Blockchainr related and you can earn money while playing, for example by trading ingame items (instead of just buying them like its now in most games). So valueable items can be worth a lot. There seems to be a huge scene of P2E already in some countries that dont have high income, and gamers can already make more in these games than they would in a normal job. Interestingly, some of the biggest and earliest crypto figures who are now billionaires (like Brock Pierce and his main competitor back then) started out by making blackmarket places for trading ingame items many years ago. So that might be why they are interested in P2E and see it as a huge market in the future. I am not sure its the future, and that it will become really huge. But its definitely something to watch, maybe? Have you tried it? Could you make any money? Or were you just losing money? | |

| What you're describing is called gold farming. You could make a living at it, assuming you make it your full time job and hone it to a science. Stock up on lots of Mountain Dew and prepare to be a gamer for 12 hours a day. Maybe program a couple of bots to farm for you while you sleep. This predates cryptocurrency too. The earliest mention I've ever heard of making money this way was with a virtual currency called QQCoin in China back in 2007. Even criminal networks have been using MMORPG currencies as a way to launder their money. What P2E games are you looking at? Second Life is the only one I know about but that one isn't a blockchain. I've never played any P2E games but I do collect crypto from watching videos You're scratching the surface of something that can be way bigger than online games. I believe it will be huge because I believe it'll spill out of the world of online gaming and make its way into other gift economies: Gift economies such as file sharing, content creation and social question & answer sites (ie: Quora). MMORPG virtual economies need to be abstracted in a way that allows them to be applied to these other communities. There are some overly-complicated attempts at this, like Steemit, but I believe it can be done much more simply. Any online community that is a gift economy could adopt a feeless crypto, such as NANO, and use it to reward each other with microtransactions. The amounts would be small enough that they could be easily collected from faucets. This would add a level of gamification to a community and also double as a reputation system. I believe this could be the seed for something huge and I'm looking for like-minded crypto enthusiasts who'd like to further develop this idea. | |

| Dont really know much about crypto/blockchain, but i know there folk making a good living on a car soccer game called "Rocket League" some of the random items it gives can fetch good money, the: in built trading platform allows u to trade items with other players for other items or credits. People spent alot on some of those items.i.e a white Octane ( car) can fetch over a hundred dollars/pounds/euros. Some people trade almost full time without even playing the game. If i need credits i sometimes buy from a particular website that sells user accumulated credits, which is half the price that what it would cost me to buy from the offical store. Some of those sellers have like $40,000 USD worth of credits to sell in small quanities, and they DO sell out, with many others also selling smaller or larger amounts. As for secondlife that is a good platform for content creators interested in making and selling 3D goods such as clothes, hair, houses, cars for their avatars. I used to play that for awhile, and have made and sold stuff thru their marketplace site. If u good at creating content secondlife has made millionaires. (no i`m not a millionaire lol) but may have been if i`d learned to use blender or maya. Last edited by realityshow on 2022-02-23 18:57:01 | |

| Interesting, I wasnt aware of some of that. One of the most successful blockchain/P2E games so far I believe are Alien Worlds. Splinterlands, Star Atlas, Axie Infinity, The Sandbox, Farmers World.. Also here is an example what you can do in some of these games: I didnt know Rocket League had a market place too. That game was really successful (and maybe still is). As in the example giving owning virtual land seems huge, like in The Sandbox or in Decentraland, but like with NFTs its also a scam really so far in my opinion, because even they will sometimes say "Virtual Land next to Snoop Dogs land for $450k SOLD" you cannot really know its even true, because the owners/some users could just privately sell it to another account of theirs for like a cent in transaction cost. I think where might be potential is finding NEW projects where we are early in it, to play and get land or something, projects which have a good hard working team, plus a great game or something else. That probably makes more sense than going in any of these already kinda big projects which are so expensive already. | |

| Don't really care about p2e.. But elden ring is pre-downloaded on me ps5 and can't wait to start. Played the closed network test and you're not busy beating bosses but more busy with everything that you encounter and see. It's stunning and jaw dropping beautiful | |

| Yeah most "gamers" will probably only start caring for P2E once the game/franchise they love has P2E. Or some other game they always wanted. But it could get really huge. If you are on ps5 you may want to try the ps4 version of Elden Ring since it runs much better. I got me a gameshare on PSN and its awesome I just have a cheap used ps4 pro but it runs perfect. | |

| Yeah its amazing how far games have come. But its also dangerous they can suck out your life energy, I have seen good people basically play games like its their job and worse, playing 16 hours a day. If its just for one day/weekend okay, but not when it becomes your life.. You just have no motivation left for anything in the real world when these amazing gameworlds - like Elden Ring just have so much adventure to offer from the safety of your couch :D At least it can often also be more frustrating than the real world :D I think i need a break soon was farming a lot of level on my magic build but they are still ineffective with some of the bosses lol. | |

| Here is an example of a NFT game Pirates of the Arrland: Their website is arrland.app The game looks ok, but the gameplay itself seems very simplistic. The way this is going to work you need to buy a pirate NFT (character/avatar), and it costs about $100 and then you can play the game with your unique character. I am not sure why anyone would pay $100 just to have a character in a game. Of course this may work in the future with something as GTA Online. People would pay $100 or even more for specific cool characters just as some "whales" now do with shark cards to buy ingame items and these would be worth a lot more in the future if its some rare characters. So maybe the game business model might change in the future that some games will be free but you have to pay for the character. I am not sure this would ever work tho because the better market model as proven by Fortnite and others is free2playgames, where you first hook the gamers, and then throw ingame purchase options at them. But its definitely interesting to watch this space, at some point some big new game might come along and it might make sense to get some piece of the cherry cheese cake early when its still cheap. | |

| Axie Infinity, whose developer was hacked this month, is a popular NFT-based video game in which players earn cryptocurrency by raising their pay-to-play digital pets, or 'Axies.' Hackers stole more than $600 million in cryptocurrency from Sky Mavis, developers of popular NFT-based video game Axie Infinity. | |
