| Hi, I'll try to explain. My ISP (Optus NBN) limits my total upload speed to 4 mb/sec max (on a good day). Generally closer to 1.5mb/sec sometimes a bit less. Is there a guide for how many torrents I can host?? Does more torrents hosted mean less speed for each torrent??? What effect does downloads have on this??? I hope this is a reasonable question as I want the best seeding I can give. Thanks, Wayne | |

| Hello, Yes that is correct @Wayne. You are limited by the connection which your isp gives you. Some isp's also use p2p "traffic shaping" too at peak hours so every subscriber gets a fair bite of the bandwidth cherry. An alternative for seeding lots of torrents would be to invest in a seedbox | |

| Thanks Ksenia. This seedbox thing is it expensive or hard to set up?? I have basic computer skills but I am a bit short on the cash caper. A wonderful site and I want to get involved more. Take care, Wayne | |

| Seedbox is the way to go if you are uploading a lot of torrents,,,basely create the torrent and upload it to a seedbox BEFORE uploading to the site,,that way your seedbox will be dealing with the seeds and peers. https://torrentgalaxy.org/forums.php?action=viewtopic&topicid=377 :idea:idea:idea:idea:idea Last edited by Fastclaw on 2018-11-13 02:01:04 | |

| HI, Me again. I feel I should post elsewhere, but you guys know my problem. With my sluggish upload speed, and until I can get a seedbox up and running, How many torrents should I host???? 10 on the go at moment but how can I add a few more without making it difficult for everybody.. I have been torrenting since Napster was a pup, but never on the up elevator 'til very recently. At 76 years thought it time to live dangerously. Everybody on TGX seems so supportive and now I am enjoying it all. Hope my question makes sense, Take care, Wayne | |

| Hi Wayne, If your torrents have a few other seeds you could pause seeding those and use your bandwidth for your new torrents and the ones that still need seeding. Pausing the seeding is not removing them for your client and if they need further seeding in future it is easy to just resume seeding, I hope that makes sense. | |
