| Really simple just add your torrents to qBittorent using the green "+" icon on the top left. What might take a little more time is before you create a new torrent in qBittorent is you need to set up the trackers you use with a blank line between each tracker. | I have never used uTorrent but understand that due to it's age it can have some problems with larger piece sizes in version 2.2.1 Last edited by RedBaron58 on 2021-10-21 21:13:57 | |

| It's not the size of the file it's size of the torrent pieces, 9.33 GB could quite easily be a 4MB piece size and 2500 pieces. but if you tried a torrent with a 16MB piece size the results are less certain. | |

| qBittorrent offers a better overall experience, I use both of them satisfied as well, but if you say what's the difference, here it is.... qBittorrent and uTorrent are among the most popular. While they share lots of settings and similarities, including embedded trackers, DHT, PEX, NAT-PMP, UPnP, LPD, IPv6 protection, and RSS support, theyāve also got their differences. Price: Both are free, qBittorent with all features, but uTorrent with limited features unless you go Pro. Speed: Neither client limits speeds, but qBittorrent was faster every time. Speed winner, I know, download speeds are determined by your internet connection speed, the number of seeds a torrent has, and any speed limits imposed by the client, I tried same files to download/upload, utorrent was 1 minute behind while grabbing the same file, I ran each program separately so that the apps could have full use of my computerās resources. Ease of use: Both clients were easy enough to use, but qBittorrent was more straightforward during download and installation (and it didnāt try to sneak in bloatware). Safety: Both clients offer several security options, but qBittorrentās open-source code offers complete transparency. Features: Both clients have a range of features, but qBittorrent comes out on top for its better (and free) offerings without ads. Plugin support: qBittorrent offers, but uTorrent does not. Platform: Windows/Linux/Mac for both, but uTorrent does work on Android as well. Torrent creation: Both clients are good enough but with large files uTorrent does disappoint you, crashes/hang/overheat/disk usages type of stuff. As mentioned by RedBaron58 already, and we discussed this earlier this week on another topic, there are several more reasons can be but considering the uTorrent techs, this problem still hasn't solved which were found near 2017 the most! Installation: qBittorrent is the obvious winner for its streamlined installation process. It took only a couple of minutes, and there were no devious tactics. Utorrent, on the other hand, took longer to install and tried to install bloatware, Installing qBittorrent was very straightforward and to the point, no further processes, where uTorrent takes longer to get done! A short image of advantages/disadvantages: sherb if you're willing to migration thing, then these 2 options might help: 1) Open uTorrent's .torrent files with qBittorrent (they're probably located in %APPDATA%) and add. 2) Check out rumanzo's migration tool to make that happen in a few clicks. - You'll have to recheck/rehash your torrents afterwards! Final thoughts, I love both torrent clients, it doesn't stand means they are defeating each of them to be topper, both are great considering the need, as for me, I still grab small files and upload small files via uTorrent, but for the performance sake, yes, I must say, qbittorent wins overall, as I don't use torrent client on mobile so why would care which works on android/IOS, so, as I said, I use both on different machines, Home PC has uTorrent never uses it much, work PC has qbittorent to grab files I use the most, qbittorent do the all deeds I wanted the most, about torrent creation, as you know my work so, Seedboxes are up always to create torrents! But I also experienced with creating torrent on these clients, where uTorrent failed me with larger files but qbittorent did the job! That's all, I can say about differences, hey guess what? For the beginners, uTorrent will be the number 1st always, that's what which keeps it up! Cheers and I wish you all a happy weekend ahead! Last edited by Prom3th3uS on 2021-10-21 23:24:12 | |

| Have you set your download folder up correctly in settings unlike utorrent which apparently uses %APPDATA%, Qbittorrent uses a folder you specify Last edited by RedBaron58 on 2021-10-22 02:09:23 | |

| uTorrent is definitely the best at seeding as far as I have tested (4.3 MB upload): I never reached 4.3 MB upload on qBittorent ever! It only peaked to 1.6 MB upload. Another tip when I installed uTorrent I got a little triangle in the status bar I click on it and it configured torrent to max performance as well as some auto port mapping. Feel free to try yourselves Thanks for this post | |

| ""qBittorent ever! It only peaked to 1.6 MB upload."" yeah you have to fix it to do more its set that way make your packet size bigger ,,, and just a heads up if your going to be seeding any large amount of torrents you may want to dump your vpn and clients and just get a seedbox which would cover both.. just the client youll end up having connection lag problems eventually ...... | I just checked the bandwidth settings on my qBittorent V4.3.9 to be sure and they seem ok And I could not find any packet size options in qbittorent Care to show where those are? Thanks Because on my uTorrent Pro 3.5.5 I found the packet size options instantly: Their advanced options are overloaded with options that I need to do a bit of research to understand them all. Anyways I am not trying to convince anyone that one client is better than the other. But I genuinely feel the different at least from my point of view. I seeded a fresh 10 Gb torrent and went afk for 2 hour then came back to find my torrent with 17 download pieces completed and 7 seeds so no complains. Mission success I would like to use a seedbox but it's a paid service right? If someone has a spare one I would appreciate it Last edited by tedbrosby on 2021-12-14 17:24:33 | |

| I too recommend the use of a seedbox, they're not too expensive (I'm 10 GBP p/m for a 1TB box) and will give way better up/down speeds than the norm clients. TGx also has it's own seedbox for members to use, other members will also help you out with their own boxes... https://torrentgalaxy.to/forums.php?action=viewtopic&topicid=1533&page=1 https://torrentgalaxy.to/forums.php?action=viewtopic&topicid=114 | |
