| I didn't know where to post this and this is my usual spot for questions. If someone can take the message and circulate it all the better. A streaming radio news program this evening had on an arts segment giving a trove of sources for live theatre streams, Met opera and vault material from places like Great Performances and also The National Theatre in Britain. They are opening up ll the things uaually charged for at cinema via live stream shoots. I'll post the link when when the stream version goes up. I hope that capturers and those in the Upload community make these available as torrents. Capture is not something I can do. See next item. Last edited by loninappleton on 2020-04-03 03:15:55 | |

| One should listen to the whole piece just seven mintutes or so but heres the summary highlights I could transcribe to print. Roku, AppleTV, Samsung Smart TVs plus tablets and cell phones are supported by the various services. The met opera is streeaming one free opera per day from their archives beginning in evening and looping through the night, Metopera.org etc for that Great Performances subscribers at PBS can get free content there. Broadwayhd (see google for more) has a free week of downloads before their subscription begins. A few highlights include the newer musical of Daddy Longlegs. London's National Theatre is streaming one play per week, See details. The first of these is One Man Two Guvnors followed by Treasure Island (with I think) Patsy Ferran who was in Merchant of Venice from the RSC --- and many other shows and then in three week's time the NTLive Twelfth Night with Tamsin Greig which is available in a couple forms already on torrents. The Public Theatre New York is streaming their Much Ado About Nothing. I know no details of this. Amazon Prime has streaming plays but I don't know the details. Netflix ditto On Youtube for viewing are several BBC Play of the Week shows from the 1980s. I just viewed Danton's Death by Buchner and The Critic by Richard Brinsley Sheridan (who followed Shakespeare with comedy of manners.) I'll add to this if I get more details. It might mean nothing put it in here but I look forward to new uploads. Feel free to share any of this with others. I simply don't have the services , subscriptions or hardware and software to do it. | Sorry i did not see this reply sooner. ML's uploads are of interest to me and have been for a long time. I have Wozzeck on my 'likes' along with a few others. But no activity from him for months on TGx. Did he move on? Unknown. Anyway I've been mining the areas I can of limited run plays on the usual major streaming source using some capture tools. Not fair to use them while they are fundraising. | |

| "MB's The Red Shoes and Uncle Vanya, both to be screened by BBC Matthew Bourne's The Red Shoes, along with the recent, highly acclaimed West-End production of Uncle Vanya (Harold Pinter Theatre) are both confirmed to be screened by BBC over the Christmas period." This looks familiar from another day but posting today 11/24/2020 an announcement was made about the BBC airing this over Christmas. Cappers take note. I do not have that ability. | |
