Norah Jones - Come Away With Me (Virtual Surround - FLAC) [ADHDerby]

Virtual Surround is a technology which allows you to listen to music, watch movies, or play video games with surround effects using any set of two channel stereo headphones. I'm a big surround music fan and made this album so I can listen it in surround through headphones on a portable player. The sources of this release are the surround tracks ripped from the SACD part of "The SACD Collection" Box Set (2012). I've converted them to virtual surround with Creative's BlasterX Acoustic Engine Pro. Using state-of-the-art technology, it gives an enhanced virtual 7.1 channel surround sound experience with regular stereo headphones.

Come Away with Me is the debut studio album by American pianist and singer Norah Jones, released on February 26, 2002 by Blue Note Records. Recording sessions took place at Sorcerer Sound Studio in New York City and Allaire Studios in Shokan, New York. The album's critical and commercial success was a breakthrough for Jones in 2002. Come Away with Me peaked at number one on the US Billboard 200, topped many critics' "albums of the year" lists and gathered major music awards in the process, including eight Grammy Awards. It was certified diamond by the RIAA on February 15, 2005 for shipments of over ten million copies in the United States, and has sold over 27 million copies worldwide as of 2016.

Come Away with Me is a mellow, acoustic pop album that features Jones supported by jazz musicians: Kevin Breit, Bill Frisell, Adam Levy, Adam Rogers, and Tony Scherr on guitar; Sam Yahel on organ; Jenny Scheinman on violin; Rob Burger on accordion; and Brian Blade, Dan Rieser, and Kenny Wollesen on drums. Jones wrote the title song. Guitarist Jesse Harris wrote the hit "Don't Know Why". The album includes cover versions of "The Nearness of You" by Hoagy Carmichael and "Cold, Cold Heart" by Hank Williams.

The album incorporates blues, soul, jazz, and folk music. Bobby Dodd of All About Jazz writes that although it features jazz standards, jazz purists and academics "may deny Jones's jazz credibility for her folk infusion".
