Roy Orbison - Merillville,Holiday Star Theater 1987 ak320
This Roy Orbison Show Was Part Of A Double Bill With Carl Perkins The Show Itself Was Magical. The Acoustics At The Star Plaza Are Awesome. The Stage Was Great. Roys Songs Start Slow..Build Up...Start Again And Always Reach A Climax.. So It Was Fitting That Roy Was Raised Up On A Pedistal Near The Back. His Voice Was Stunning, Powerful And His Backing Band Amazing. And He Looked The Same As He Did In The 1950'S. The Show While Short.. 55:07 Was A Great Show And Remains A Favorite The Quality Of The Recording Is Excellent. Nice And Loud Crisp Sound.. Great Mix, Crowd Was Old Folks And A Younger Crowd Eager To Listen And Enjoy. Now Its Your Turn.
And just In time cause Roy had little more than a year left. So after this He would catch up with The Wilburys and go a traveling...But thats another story.
