The stage was deserted, just the board on the wall.
The trophy was polished, the lights set in place
As fans filled the seats, and joy on each face.

The players prepared the tungsten in hand,
the place at the oche is where these legends will stand.
Memories of old made any penny streak,
like cries from the booth of "I can't spake, I can't spake!"

You see it's been no different, with some highs and some lows,
some new faces prosper, some titans felt the blows
At this point in the tournament we're now halfway done!
But as we continue, the fun has just begun
