As indicated by the GroundhogDayPlot tag, this movie repeats the same day over and over. It is a charming movie about a young woman (Amy Smart, who I know from the TV show Justified) who is set up for a blind date. She screws it up, because she is screwed up. Over the course of the movie, she learns a better way and ends up being a blessing to everyone.

This is the best of this year's Hallmark movies (so far), going by IMDB rating. If the IMDB rating of 8.0 holds (it has been falling gradually since it was released on November 26) it will be to my knowledge the highest rated Hallmark movie ever.

Note the name AimeeTeegarden in the second movie. You may know her as the coach's high school age daughter in the Friday Night Lights TV show. She has two movies in this collection, both excellent. Aside from "A Biltmore Christmas", I believe that AimeeTeegarden's two movies are the highest rated Hallmark movies ever. Unfortunately, this year she didn't appear in a Hallmark movie. Her other movie is in Part 3:

There are 4 versions of A Christmas Carol, three by that name and the 4th below. If you downloaded one of my torrents of those videos, these are redundant. For me, the Doctor Who version is *brilliant*!

I never saw Carla Gugino in anything I didn't like. In this movie, she is Laura Dern's sister. Dern is in prison. Carla is the responsible but *broke* aunt who takes responsibility for Laura's two children. The movie isn't very appealing during the prison scenes. If you're not enjoying it, skip to about 6 minutes in, to where the real story starts -- Carla finding a way to care for her niece and nephew. This is a sweet, heartwarming movie, very much in the Christmas spirit. Keep an eye out for Patty Duke in an ethereal role.

I liked this movie. It's traditional Hallmark fare, with the twist that a last century engineer is somehow transported to current times.

This movie seems overly staid and maybe boring at the outset -- but it's worth watching. It's very British, formal, stiff upper lip, all that rot. Grand Moff Peter Cushing is a bank manager who finds himself in deep trouble. The ending is satisfying.

This is one of three Barbara Stanwyck movies in this collection. She plays a woman who has posed as a Martha Stewart type, esp. as a great cook, but she is a *fraud* -- and now she's in trouble because important people are coming for Christmas and expect her to work wonders.
