The steps in creating this collection:

1) Download the vast bulk of it from a private tracker - 448 of the 500 are from Nb8 on the private tracker. Excellent encodes. All praise to Nb8, sincerely. I'm not an encoder, just a re-packager.

2) Moved the movies into 7 folders representing IMDB rating ranges, e.g. "500 Classic Movies Part 7 of 7 - 61 Movies with IMDB Ratings from 3.6 to 5.9 jZQ 146GB Nb8"

3) Adding more movies to the "500 Classic Movies Part 1 of 7 - 67 Movies with IMDB Ratings from 8.0 to 9.0 jZQ 196GB Nb8" because it had too few movies and "500 Classic Movies..." sounded more impressive than "471 Classic Movies..." LOL

Altogether there are 500 movies, counting the 4 versions of "Blade Runner (1982)" as one movie.

Across the 500, the average IMDB rating is 6.84 (well above the supposed average for dramas 6.4) and the average size of the video file is 2.8GB.
