Celebrity MasterChef (UK) S19E07-E09 (1080p, soft English subtitles)
Celebrities scramble to compete in the kitchen. What culinary triumphs will they whisk up?
E07
The third group of celebrities are braced for culinary battle as they take on the MasterChef kitchen. All five will have their work cut out if they want a place in this week’s quarter-final. The familiar faces taking on the momentous challenge this week are TV personality Jake Quickenden, model and TV personality Christine McGuinness, actor Tamer Hassan, comedian Jamie MacDonald and model Emma Thynn.
The first test of their kitchen prowess will be Under the Cloche, with each celebrity aiming to cook up a storm using a mystery ingredient. Hidden gems include figs, white sausages and hake, so there’s plenty of scope for being creative. Winning over John and Gregg won’t be easy, and first impressions count. Those who fail to make the grade will get a final chance to wow, as all five celebrities will be cooking their dinner party dishes for the judges - two plates they’d be proud to serve at home to their friends and family. Will they play it safe, or add a few extra flourishes to show off? Nobody will want to leave their diners underwhelmed. The party will end with an untimely departure for one, leaving the best to cook another day.

The third heat continues as the four remaining celebrities have their wits tested across three tasks that would make even the most experienced cook quake. All four want a place in this week’s quarter-final, but for one, the journey will end. Things kick off with the Pairs Challenge. Split into teams, each pair will need to dish up a stunning plate of food that must be identical, both in looks and taste. It’s not as simple as it sounds. Only one member of each team is armed with the basic instructions of how to make it. To avoid any sort of kitchen carnage, they will need to communicate instructions to their fellow celebrity. What can possibly go wrong? There’s no let-up as the celebrities will remain in their pairs and head off to work in professional kitchens. This is the ultimate test of pressure and skill, and not for the faint-hearted. Dishes include some delicious Italian and gastropub fare. A frantic lunch service for the hungry public looms, and it’s down to the celebrities to deliver perfectly executed plates and keep the kitchen moving. Not easy at the best of times, but some of the dishes involve cooking over sizzling grills and hot coals. These celebrities need to take the heat of the competition. Then it’s back to MasterChef HQ, where the Street Food Market has been stocked up ready for one final test. Working individually, the celebrities must now each create their own food truck-inspired dish for the judges. These need to be plates that would cause a frenzy at a festival - that not only tickle the taste buds but also look the part. All that’s left is for John and Gregg to decide which celebrity has not done enough to keep hold of their place. The other three will have a short time to hone their skills as they head straight through to this week’s quarter-final.

It’s the end of heat three, which can only mean one thing – time for another stress-inducing quarter-final, featuring the week’s three best celebrity cooks.
The celebrities need to prepare a two-course dinner party feast, which will be enough to satisfy three specially invited guests. The diners are 2021 semi-finalist Su Pollard, 2019 finalist Vicky Pattison and 2017 champion Angellica Bell. They all know what it takes to make it through the competition and will be sure to give credit where it’s due. A place in the semi-finals is at stake, so only food that really sings will cut the mustard. With the diners' comments in hand, John and Gregg will ultimately decide which two celebrities are worthy of moving forward in the competition, leaving one more to say their goodbyes.
