Saw both movies and some reports about this thanks to the suggestions,,, according to the church this is a house demon not a ghost.. the church is well known to deny this this time they did not,, The biggest issue anyone had was him tearing down the house releasing this thing on the world .. who knows real or not interesting read and watch .... |
Watch "The entity" (1982), another real case, the movie shows what is happened. |
"The Deliverance" is loosely based on the 2011 account of Latoya Ammons and her family’s haunting, otherwise known as the Demon House. Movies "loosely based" are usually exaggerated and not worth watching because they´re not true. Watch the documentary "The Devil and Father Amorth", 2017, you´ll see the real thing, compared to Hollywood. |
"Horror" yeah right, it's 2024 where young people get terrified because they've been asked to do an hour's overtime, the horror in the movie is probably someone popping a balloon, the use of "wrong" pronouns or any words used that rhyme with Trump. |
Half way through, "The Deliverance", Glenn Close states - in a factual manner - " I can smell your nappy p*ssy." It's a stunning scene that marks the beginning of the film's decline - at least with respect to the narrative. Taking inspiration from the real-life story an Indiana woman who claimed that evil spirits lurked in her home and possessed her children. Though it may be critically panned, there’s plenty to appreciate here. Let’s start with Glenn Close—a powerhouse performance featuring a weathered face, corrugated eyebrows, Cajun makeup, and a cigarette that swings with every word she utters. And that wig, that “Auntie Cookout Wig,” - it's worth the price of admission —though it’s arguably even more striking when she removes it. Daniels’ direction stands out with sweeping panoramic shots from below and creeping camera movements that expertly build suspense. His direction is confident and the scenes are beautifully anchored by intimate shots ( the milk drinking scene!) Then there’s Mo’Nique, who brings a distinctive look to the role. Unfortunately, this is where the film falters. Mo’Nique’s portrayal of the social worker feels miscast; she’s far more convincing as a villain than in this role. The film is better than most in this genre, the cast and directing is the best part, the writing not so much. A 7 / V 7 |

Nah. Not all of us use Netflix. |
The cast itself = horror, besides the plot = they are on drugs for sure. Thawne |
From reading the case on WIKI, the adults were cuckoo and delusional. I bet it was drugs! That's always the case with supernatural ghost claims publicity attention seeking folks! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ammons_haunting_case |
