I used to frequent an establishment named "Joe's Bar, Ladies Invited". I hope you ladies will join the gents as they gently weep.

The actors in more than one movie:

How did I decide that *these* were the movies that belong in this collection? Let me pretentiously present my
Methodology:
1) First I collected a pool of candidates by looking at Google results and reading 3 long "What movies make men cry?" (WMMMC) threads on Reddit.
2) I put the text from 5 large WMMMC Reddit threads into one text file and used code to count how many times candidate movies were mentioned
3) I wrote code to download the 10 pages of each movie's IMDB User reviews and count how many times the word "cry" was mentioned
4) I put the results of (2) and (3) into Excel, created a weighted index combining those measures, sorted by that index and cut the bottom 9 movies - because they apparently move very few people to cry.
Here is a screenshot of the spreadsheet:
https://pasteboard.co/SBJmxtmJBNqX.png
I thought it was interesting that the correlation (r-value) between the reddit threads and the IMDB "cry" counts was
0.01. That suggests that one of the other of my methods is weak -- or both. Suggestions?
I found it remarkable how often Redditors would nominate a WMMMC movie and when I checked IMDB, there wasn't even ONE "cry" among the reviews.
IF YOU HAVE OPINIONS ABOUT WHICH MOVIES DO NOT BELONG IN THIS LIST, OR SUGGESTIONS FOR MOVIES THAT SHOULD BE ADDED, PLEASE SAY SO IN A COMMENT.
If you're interested the data I collected (LOL as if!) it is available as an Excel spreadsheet "Title Counts.xlsx"
I hope you cry a lot watching these movies.
Sincere thanks to all of you who create the torrents I download to make my collections (and you seeders)!
Enjoy!
