 | I provide samples for everything I upload. So if something is not to your liking then don't download the full release. That way, you're better off, and I'm better off having to read your BS opinion. Old films from this era lack any real dynamics in the picture, so when viewed on modern TV's with reduced grain, the skin tones on faces can look soft. Especially if you're someone who watches films in VIVID mode or have things like HDR/DV always activated, as the picture is just not designed for it... This would not normally be something I would upscale as it's always a stretch with films from this era, but it was a request and if some cannot appreciate that or want to moan about settings then "hey" just don't download it, simples... I am fully aware that it does not look as good as other modern upscales I've done, but so what, judge it by the source and not other releases. I'm sick of the goading from some on here just so then can troll. I work hard on these releases and fulfilling requests "even if the requests are old films that I know won't look as good as other releases I could do"...  |

| First of all, thank you for posting. However, I have found your other releases to be too "waxy" for my taste, as if too much DNR has been applied, which to me kind of ruins the whole point of an upscale. Is it a personal choice or yours or an unavoidable consequence of the upscaling process? Please, understand that this is not a complaint. I fully respect the right of any uploader to post anything the way they want to. I just like to know if the loss of detail is unavoidable. Again,thank you. |
