Track 32's venue in the notes above (not indicated on the CD) is taken from online discography at plosin.org.
Plosin.com doesn't mention Billy Berg's Supper Club for track 31 and lists the location as NBC Studios, Hollywood with the source being NBC affiliate WEAF. Plosin states that track 31 was part of The Drene Show, a 30 min. radio program hosted by Rudy Vallee and broadcast live on NBC at 7:30 PM PT (10:30 PM ET). Plosin says the short performance may represent the first time bebop was broadcast on a major network to a national audience. Another online discography, jazzdisco.org, does go with Billy Berg's as the location.
Plosin.org has different dates and locations in some cases for this CD: Waukegon, Ill in December 1947 (track 30), New Savoy Ballroom on January 3 to 6, 1948 (tracks 28, 29), Pershing Ballroom between March 28 and April 10, 1949 (tracks 1 to 23); and Pershing Ballroom on Nov. 5, 1950 (tracks 24 to 27).
