Out of all the comps from the early '80s (compiling '60s stuff) this is the UK one to get. There's not a bad track on it.
Psycho really did their homework on this first volume of Perfumed Garden. Every track is a miracle of mid '60s UK psychedelia...
. the creme de la creme. The Eyes, The Factory, The Syndicats, The Birds....
ooh mama, I go weak at the knees just thinking about it. If you don't know where to start with what came to be known as 'freakbeat'
then this is the key comp that more or less started it all (apart from Chocolate Soup for Diabetics but they were grade z sound quality).
By about mid 1968 it was all over for psychedelia and UK music took a dark swerve into pre-heavy metal and prog.
Hear this one for the best of the best from the golden age '65 - '67. The sleeve's a bit hippy-dippy but don't let that put you off.

should be noted that this is one of the only places to hear the Ugly's "I See The Light" as it was a withdrawn
(and now extremely rare) 45. the whole compilation is great and goes well with other similar comps like Rubble
and Chocolate Soup For Diabetics. sound quality is acceptable, surprisingly good for a bootleg to my ears!
ENJOY THIS TREMENDOUS STUFF...AND SOMETIMES..SAY THANX TO THE UPLOADER OF THIS THING
YOU KNOW...LIFE IS NOT EASY OUTTHERE, AND FUNNY NOTES CAN MAKE A RAINY DAY HAPPY
