Seen it in the cinema. Decent flick but not near the level of the first 2. A sloid 6/10. Sincerely. Jackson |
Decent is good enough, I like the franchise but they will milk it to death. Waiting on a streaming release, 'don't let your friends do cams'. |
Is there a problem with images on this site now? I keep seeing 'Image Error' on screenshots |
Looks like it has been fixed. ignore original comment |
Works here for me, either it should work for you as well by now (and it was an error/issue somewhere), or you still have an issue, and it may be something like an adblocker? |
terrible cam. lead actress is black so in the many dark scenes. lol u cant see her. i would skip this cam. but i do like em as it helps realize this movie is not for me. |
I liked the first film, the second was a step-down, and unless they add some interesting elements to number three, I doubt it will impress. Of course, it's horror, so I'm going to watch it when the 4K option appears. |

A Quiet Place Day One is as witless and boring as its title. A terminally ill cancer patient ( Nyong’o) resides in a hospice in New York City alongside her cat. The prequel is set against a backdrop resembling an invasion in New York City, evoking parallels to the 9/11 terrorist attack. For instance, Nyong'o's face covered in ash mirrors the iconic image of Marcy Borders, underscoring this resemblance. There are three primary characters in the story – one being the cat– there is little to no chemistry between the actors. There is minimal suspense; what little there is revolves around a terribly hapless and miscast Nyong’o running through corridors with her feline companion escaping projectile aliens - Haven't we seen this movie before? (Yes!). Her performance is translucent, the viewer may find it difficult to sympathize with her character. The CAM version is a pixelated mess, and the audio, especially during scenes featuring announcements made by overhead military planes, is difficult to decipher. |
missing last 13 mins, 1hour 40 min movie but this ends at 1:26 |
Watched part of it in cinema. Left after first half. It is just bad. Not even close to first 2 parts. Waste of time, can't recommend it. Specially in CAM |
The last 15 minutes of this cam is actually really good quality, but the rest of the movie isn't. I watched it anyways. If you are a fan of these films and Cloverfield, etc. I'd recommend seeing this in theaters. It's not a bad movie, honestly. |
Well i just saw this in cinemas and was a little underwhelmed tbh. The plot is nothing we haven't already seen in the last 2 films and just as many plot holes as the other 2. The scares were few and far between and all of them were cheap lazy jump scares which it seems is all they focus on to scare audiences these days rather than building the terror and tension like in the 80s horrors and thriller films. It seems they wanted to tie the 2nd film to this prequel showing Djimon Hounsou's character in this for all but 2 min worth of screen time but you see that the ending (which blind Freddy could of predicted) shows SPOILER ALERT where the ppl on the 2nd films island came from. The journey seemed tedious and at times infuriating with some of the characters choices or when the film breaks the established lore and goes against whats been previously set. All and all I give it 5/10 |
