I will take anything AAA with vampires gladly lol and that on a sunday when usually there is no new/great shows. Thx uploaders this is better than Netflix |
Watch the original Interview With The Vampire 1994 movie and come back and say you'll take anything Vampire. Luckily season 1 of this more t,han made up for the pile of from 1994. Been waiting for season 2 after how good season 1 was. Thanks for the upload. |
@CowGirl The show is the sequel to the original novel, and not the 1994, mercifully. |
Thanks for the upload, total surprise, didn't know a second season had been commissioned. xPanx |
Oh no. Not this kind of rubbish again because of inclusion diversity quota something something. I remember the first season aired I watched 30 seconds and I just turned it off. Woke crap again. The worst part is these are good actors. And in other roles, absolutely love them. I hate when they woke swap characters. Stories matter. Small tweaks here and there in the stories and characters I get are needed for the screen but this sort of stuff needs to stop. |
If you don't like it, you don't have to watch it, you know. The world is actually quite diverse, with differing tastes. If this isn't yours you are free to go and sample something more to your liking and leave this for people who enjoy it. |
Oh no, a fictional vampire has a different color of skin. Completely unrealistic. |
From what I understand, not being a fan, is that the main character was race swapped, the focus changed to draw heavily into racial politics and the main characters were changed to be homosexuals? So basically it's a completely different story from the novel, just using the same names? |
Race swapped, yes. The homosexuality, no. That was in the original novel, and not in subtext. Lestat was always bisexual, citing many lovers male and female (mostly male), over his life both before and after becoming a vampire. Vampire sex is different in the books though, it's more about the blood. |
"We don't have any new ideas, do we? Or writing skills? -No, but we could steal some. -Won't it show? -Naaaah... we'll color-swap the characters, that way if anyone complains, we can brand them as rrrrracists! -You're a genius, O my non-binary talentless cowriter. The Agenda is so practical! We can get away with any bullshit we want now. We can make money and get a standing ovation from the Twittard mob. |
@Guest-1105 is 1,000,000,000% correct it a TV show aka a work of fiction. They get to take poetic license. They is no agenda. |
I would be nice to see something fresh, something new, and not recycled... |
I wasn't surprise after reading pretty ever comment crying woke or color of the characters skin color. Just show how closed minded this generation alpha is why does everything has to be just white white actors and actress just goes to show how deep racism goes in the so=called greatest country in the world Yeah right |
So they took the Vampire character from the book and changed his race to black. Stupid! But if someone were to make a movie about Malcom X or Martin Luther King Jr and change them to Asian or White or American Indian, black community will be up in arms, boycotting the movie and rioting. |
A far fetched whining. So you think vampires should be caucasians who got bitten by Dracular from Transilvania? Malcom X or M.L King made their name because they were black. Stupid, yes, you are. |
Well, you're right, no arguing that BUT you know the woke cult won't like you telling the truth!!! |
Usually changing a character's race isn't a big deal, but for this it changed a lot about his character because having "white privilege" as a slave owner what a part of who he was. Still a good series, I just consider it a different story... not woke'd, not reimagined, just a new story from the Anne Rice "universe". |
Keep your bigoted comments to yourself. FYI huge difference between fictional and real people and you fuckin know it. Now grow the fuck up and stop being a bigot. |
@Guest-1950 well yes, given how vampires can't take sunlight and every other organism than doesn't get sunligh is pale asf, they at least should look the part. @CowGirl uhmmm..all you do is spew hate from the other side so....keep your woked comments to yourself? |
Yeah, realistic treatment of melanin is essential to the concept of a nigh immortal, super strong, flying being that dies in the sunlight (though they become immune with age in this case). Of course, realistic only to the extent of excluding black actors, because otherwise vampires would have to be albinos. |
Not that realistic, since changes in melanin levels occur due to mutations over evolutionary scales of time. Black people don't become white after moving to Norway, nor will the children, etc. Pallor doesn't have anything to do with melanin levels and sunlight directly, but hemoglobin levels. |
