They performed in Jarocin, at Rockowisko in Łódź, they managed to record two songs for Polish Radio and... nothing was heard about them. New, one of the most interesting Polish rock bands from the mid-1980s, finally on CD.
The band New from Pabianice started with guitar playing strongly inspired by the achievements of The Police and U2. Over time, their music evolved into a cold wave, and when it seemed that New was going to make a big mess, fate and the military recruitment committee wanted it differently. In 1987, some of the musicians founded Proletaryat, and New left behind two radio recordings and recordings of their competition performances in Jarocin. Now, for the first time in history, they are released on one album.
"Atomowa war" collects all surviving recordings of the band New, remastered by Robert Luchowski from the best available sources. The booklet includes the history of the band written by Michał Pawłowski and archival photos. The album is published in cooperation with the Trasa W-Z archive by Robert Jarosz.
