Chinese subs instead of english? Went to subscene to get english ones and there is no forced subs available for foreign parts ...and even the full subs don't include foreign parts! Usually that's only the case when foreign subs are hardcoded... so not sure what deal is there but that's not on you. Oh and do you really have to keep tagging every line item with full file name? I keep having to remove with MKVtoolnix ...and on occasion forced subs are not labeled as such cause you are replacing the tag. I have to check by playing video each time to make sure forced subs are prioritized for my plex server. |
Thanks for the upload, much appreciated. As for subtitles - well, significant part of the dialogue is in Spanish (close to 30-40%?) and as of today (04.11.23) no subs on Open Subtitles or Subscene cover it. Mind you, this is quite run-off-the-mill action flick, easy enough to follow even without understanding Spanish parts. However - if you are desperate to understand all dialogue: - extract Chinese subs with MKV Cleaver (you need MKVToolNix installed for Cleaver to work) - open the extracted subs with Subtitle Editor - use "auto-translate" function in SubtitleEditor and save the result only (or use online translator) - this gives you machine-translated subs for entire movie... I just wonder why only Chinese translator did the proper job |
