Drama set in a repressed, deeply religious community in the north of Scotland, where a naive young woman named Bess McNeil meets and falls in love with Danish oil-rig worker Jan. Bess and Jan are deeply in love but, when Jan returns to his rig, Bess prays to God that he returns for good. Jan does return, his neck broken in an accident aboard the rig. Because of his condition, Jan and Bess are now unable to enjoy a sexual relationship and Jan urges Bess to take another lover and tell him the details. As Bess becomes more and more deviant in her sexual behavior, the more she comes to believe that her actions are guided by God and are helping Jan recover.

avatarHmmm, this is gonna be interesting. I already have this on HD BluRay, and IIRC, the quality there is pretty crap. I fear this title is from his "handycam" period that was kicked off with "The Idiots" from the Dogma series. IMDb lists "Camera: Moviecam Compact, Zeiss Lenses" and "Laboratory: EX Camera (video transfer to 35 mm)", which feeds into that fear, but it may be just parts of it, or I may be cherry-picking tech specs. If nothing else, this should still be the best consumer source to get as close to the original handycam as possible ;) Thank you very much :*

avatarWow! 85GiB for an SDR grade title (with no special effects, CGI, ect. and a meh bare minimum lossless audio bitrate track) that truly deserved the B0MBARDiERS downmix to at least half the size but Haunted House (2023), with today's latest special effects, ect. with a much higher AAA budget that deserves a FULL REMUX but it gets released at a downmix rate to half of its original source? Alriiiighty, then!
