I enjoyed it, but nowhere near as much as some of the previous movies. Sadly the franchise is starting to show its age. Some of the writing was lazy and the villain lacked the kind charisma previous ones did. That wasn't the fault of Esai Morales or even so much the script as the direction. Which is surprising given some of Christopher McQuarrie's previous efforts. The heart seemed to be missing. And see if you can spot the scene that feels very much directly lifted from the opening to Uncharted 2. Look, it's a popcorn movie. I wouldn't say you won't be entertained. Given all the other garbage out there, it's still worth a watch and still superior to most alternatives. But it's just not as good as its predecessors. Maybe they should wrap up the franchise in part 2? I had similar feelings about the last John Wick which I also love, so YMMV. |
That was supposedly their intent to wrap it up after part 2. If you remember back when Renner was cast in the 4th movie it was also the intent for Cruise to pass the torch however Cruise obviously changed his mind about it, Cruise seemingly has changed his mind again because he said he wants to be making these at 80 |
Sure hope Tom :_B still is ) And why not Harrison Ford is still making movies at 80+ and Clint Eastwood is still acting/directing at 100+ |
@Guest-2072 Well I'm a fan of Cruise's movies, Oblivion and Edge of Tomorrow are among my top sci-fi films, but I think there's a limit. I guess he could carry on if, after a certain point, he becomes the mentor, the Gandalf of the series. Big fan of Jeremy Renner too. Would love a sequel to The Bourne Legacy. |
Dunno But think Cruise will be rebuilt into a 'bionic man' and just keep on going |
Totally Agree. For all the practical stuntwork, it looked awfully like something done in CGI. Motorcycle stunt seemed like they had to shoehorn in a contrived scenario where that would need to happen. And he lands with precise timing on moving train to bump off a bad guy?? Also, Ilsa character deserved a better ending. |
really sick of absurd scenarios where he could have been dead a thousand times over at point blank range and escapes...really sick of it |
This movie is too straight for me, keep your old-fashioned agenda thx. |
Two hours and thirty-five minutes till the end credits seems pretty long for my wandering attention span. |
Deal with it! It's freakin' awesome content from beginning to end! If you need something short and sweet, go watch Yogi Bear! Here ya go: https://torrentgalaxy.to/torrent/15556516/Yogi-Bear-2010-1080p-BluRay-x265-RARBG |

Mission.Impossible.Dead.Reckoning.Part.One.2023.1080p.AMZN.WEBRip.1600MB.DD5.1.x264-GalaxyRG V-10 A-9 M-9 This is probably one of the best franchises still going. F&F is dog meat compared to the quality and calibre of this series. |
