 | Watched it. Explores the Yorkshire serial killings. The series is in 7 parts and with the first two episodes covering the deaths of the rippers first 2 victims. The writers explores the background of the victims, humanizing and respecting their courage and families. The story describes several of the issues trying to determine the identity of the ripper - negative attitudes toward prostitutes is the primary hurdle. The first 2 episodes are two of the best regarding suspense. The series is grim, violence is minimum, makes for a compelling watch. David Morrissey, Katherine Kelly ( second victim - her performance is not to be missed) and Toby Jones are standouts. |
