Indeed, I did 2010 well before 2001! Why? Because the original Bluray is terrible!
There is so much noise and artefacts within, it borderlines on unwatchable.
Here is a crisp version. But beware, the movie has variable picture quality from shot to shot. It also was very noisy. To clear it up, I had to use some heavy filtering, and it may show.
The bluray version is available, and now you have this one, take your pick and enjoy.

| Are you sitting down? 2010 has never been released on 4K let alone HDR. The uploader has merely taken a very poorly encoded 1080p Blu-ray and vastly improved it with color correction and up-scaling technology. |

| Brilliant!! Just watched 2010 this evening and I was quite impressed with the new clearer, sharper look. Perhaps you could apply your magic to the 1933 version of 'King Kong'? That particular blu ray contains a lot of grain and artefacts to the extent it looks like mosquitoes buzzing on screen, thanks. |
