thank you, the professional remastering quality was quite bad compared to the remastering and upscaling JOY did with the 3 star trek series. The size for that bad remastering was ludicrous. I think with your size, and since the remastering was never a full HD quality, 720p is just the sweet spot. Keep up the good work, it is highly appreciated! |
Hi again Zero0, I've kept checking the signup page several times but it's still disabled for new signups. The Viewing Order I have and will use and mentioned earlier to you is this one, the picture visible on this page: https://scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/10009/what-order-should-the-babylon-5-movies-and-series-be-watched-in I'm up to season 3 of your current encode. If you can do a 60fps reencode that would be totally fantastic!!!!!! As I mentioned I'll seed it to help for as long as I can. I hope you can get around to this, and I'm pretty sure you'll love watching the show, it's very insightful about the human condition; you'll know what I mean after watching season 2 and definitely during Season 3 =) Big thanks mate, J |
awesome i i have forgotten again about this series thanks for reminding me i have been busy trying to fix something for a while so i havent put my attension to encoding or uploading or anything of the sort but hopefully today is the day i get my pc,s windows order at this point im going to reinstall windows and see |
Hi Zero00, ok no worries about the settings, but if you could do a re-encode like your current set but at 60fps as you mention, that'd be awesome! And greatly appreciated ! =) BTW it's definitely well worth a watch, when you get around to it =) There's a recommended viewing order that you might like, as it puts all the eps and movies in better interlaced story-order, just in case that's useful to you when you watch it =) [websearch will get you to it, as i'm not sure i can post links here]. Anyway, thank you very much mate for replying, and these 720p's, and hopefully your 60fps reencode when you're able ! =) I'll seed them for a good while to help out! Cheers Mate, J |
Awesome il definatly re encode it at some point later i was thinking of 1080p only of it compresses really well if not 720p again will do but in 60fps and you can just create an account on this site and message me the watch order if you want whould help il probly forget if im not reminded |
Will do so, Zero0! Currently new signups disabled due to maintenance, but I'll try to check signup every now and again. Thanks again and best to you til next then Mate, J |
Hi Zero00, thanks so much for these encodes! they're the best quality for filesize I've seen, especially through nvidia shield with AI upscaling and filtering. Just wondering what your h265/x265 settings were please? Especially CRF please... It's not listed in the mp4 files' codec metadata... nor in the media info screenshot you posted above, and no media/codec/encode info file in the torrent. I ask because I want to use FlowFrames to increase the frames/sec to eliminate movement jitter / increase smoothness of movement, and it requires encoder settings... I'm running a test using CRF 22 [h265 mp4] to get an idea of what the CRF to filesize is, but at 4hours processing time per episode on my computer, it'd be a whole lot quicker simply to ask you =) So if you don't mind, it'd save me a stack of time. Big thanks again Zero00, J |
i don' really share the settings i use and i did realize a while after i encoded it that i encoded this in 23.9fps and the source was about 60fps i havent watched this series once so i have not yet noticed a thing but i defiantly should re encode this series as i like it alot eventho i have not yet come around watching |
no its the 16:9 dvd version thats been remastered or just alot of filters one over the other one i just compressed it smaller ! |
