avatarAnother flick I thought would be mediocre at best - turned out to be really good. It's a slow-burner - with action scenes thrown in here and there. If you're looking for non-stop action, you can pass on this. Having said that, the outstanding story and performances make up for the lack of continuous action. While Travolta plays only a supporting and very credible role as the town sheriff, it is Stephen Dorff (the bad guy seeking redemption) who steals the thunder. With a helluva twist at the end. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Rating the movie 8/10. A/V is excellent, as usual.
