D'Artagnan, a spirited young Gascon, is left for dead after trying to save a young woman from being kidnapped. When he arrives in Paris, he tries by all means to find his attackers. He is unaware that his quest will lead him to the heart of a real war where the future of France is at stake. Allied with Athos, Porthos and Aramis, three musketeers of the King with a dangerous temerity, D'Artagnan faces the dark machinations of the Cardinal of Richelieu. But it is when he falls madly in love with Constance Bonacieux, the Queen's confidante, that d'Artagnan truly puts himself in danger. For it is this passion that leads him into the wake of the one who becomes his mortal enemy: Milady de Winter.
I tre moschettieri: D'Artagnan, film diretto da Martin Bourboulon, racconta la storia di D'Artagnan (François Civil), un giovane molto vivace originario della Guascogna, zona della Francia sud-occidentale. Dopo aver cercato di salvare una ragazza da un rapimento, tutti lo credono morto. In verità, D'Artagnan giunge a Parigi, dove tenta in ogni modo di rintracciare gli aggressori. La sua ricerca, però, lo porterà nel vivo di una vera e propria guerra, che rischia di compromettere il futuro della Francia. È così che D'Artagnan decide di allearsi con Athos, Porthos e Aramis (Vincent Cassel, Pio Marmaï e Romain Duris), i tre Moschettieri del Re, per affrontare i malvagi stratagemmi messi in atto dal Cardinale Richelieu (Eric Ruf).
Il giovane, però, finisce con l'innamorarsi perdutamente di Costance (Lyna Khoudri), confidente della regina. Questi sentimenti lo porteranno a inimicarsi Milady (Eva Green), ovvero colei che diventerà il suo più acerrimo nemico.
