A surprisingly good movie. Pacing, dialogue, and action was well done. I didn't know any of the actors, but all did a very good job. 6 out of 10 stars. |
I watched it last night, was very good good action not bad acting 9/10 well worth the d/l. |
Good movie Like you are right in the middle of the action/heist/shootout/getaway One of those movies where you root for the 'baddies' |
Surprising that Casper Van Dien wasn't in this Maybe he had a day off |
A somewhat decent bank heist movie, that is eminently watchable, but loses its strength as it goes. This film opens with a powerful bank heist and ensuing shootout. It packs a lot of energy and good stakes. For the first half of it, things hold tight and the predicament of the protagonists is engaging. About two thirds of the way, though, some elements begin to get a little sloppy and we slowly come out of the illusion. The cast is very good, and makes the story credible for a long time. Sadly, the resolve is quite possibly the worst thing about the film: not because of where it ends, but more "how" it gets there. My sense is that if the audience doesn't fall in love with the goals of the protagonists, then it is hard to follow him to those goals. This is a C + or a B - ... |
We began watching from where the heist/shootout began It was a very extended sequence for a heist/shootout and pretty good The technique reminded us of the other Clayne Crawford movie 'The Killing of Two Lovers' which we thought was good |
At last a fresh plot / premise on the horizon............ Wait............What.................?? |
I know right. Ambulance must have been copied from this movie |
Why are the ratings always wrong : we know that first ratings on IMBD are fake to support the movie, so it should be adapted after a while. 7.9 has become 5.4 That means an exceptionnal movie with excellent dialoges has become an above average movie with 2nd class actors. |
You don't need Brad Pitt and George Clooney in a heist movie to make it watchable Clayne Crawford does both their roles |
We always believe a movie is worth while if you learn something (you didn't already know ) from it This movie teaches the 'Pinocchio Effect' in that when someone is lying their brain works overtime trying to convince you that they are not lying; by babbling on, adding extraneous/unnecessary detail, giving reasons why they wouldn't lie 'For Christ's sake, I am ex-military, lives in New York City, with a hot girlfriend, and who has been online for twenty years, why would I download a torrent never mind one with Karen Gillan in it?' If you are telling the truth you would just make a simple denial, 'Nope' and stick to it Movie has its moments Some dodgy acting especially from the bit-players 'Borrowed' from a lot of movies, not just heist ones, the getaway reminded us of 'Children of Men' |
