| I don't understand why a movie that ultimately has a positive message - We must stop human trafficking especially stop the trafficking of small children, is controversial. The world has an estimate of 50 million slaves, which is significantly more than the height of the Roman and British Empires at their peak combined. With an estimated half of them sex slaves. I just don't see how a movie with a message like this is political. Surely everyone on all sides of the political fence are against slavery in 2023, especially child sex slavery. Maybe there are some hints of QAnon theories in there, I honestly don't know. I haven't seen the movie. But surely everyone can look past what I am sure is a very minor part of the movie to see the bigger picture. Which is awareness of a horrific, global problem. |
