I wasn't really sure what the point of this movie was. For rich people to pat themselves on the back? I didn't it find it inspiring or anything. The decision for MJ to not say anything and always have his back to the camera was laughable at best. They try to make him out to be a hero character, but it's just a fucking shoe. And all these people make way too much fucking money. It's depressing. |
I think it shows the ridicule of capitalism. Relate a product, any product, to a celebrity and people are willing to pay tenfold. That's why all these celebrities have their own brand of perfume, underwear, restaurants, whatever, without having the slightest knowledge of any of that. Selling thin air, smoke and mirror. |
There is an older movie I recommend watching Prefontaine (1997). Some actors you will recognize. Anyway, it was nice to see Nike or the beginnings of the company and how they made a shoe sole with a waffle iron for a runner. |
Prefontaine 1997 was a great movie with Jared Leto. Prefontaine was one of the greatest runners of all time. His best mile was only 3.5 seconds off of the world record at the time. |
Ben Affleck guarantees a dud film. He'd be better playing the part of 'my pet rock'. |
a few people might take issue with the movie's declaration that he was the greatest basketball player ever, including one still in the playoffs today. there was no need for that. besides, ultimately it's a team sport... |
zero interest in Nike, Michael Jordan or this movie, don't care who is in it or who directed it. a great big brown turd |
Opinions are like a$$ holes everybody has one & everybody thinks theirs is the only one that matters. |
how they could make this story so personal and interesting is amazing... |
Bill Bowerman was the one who came up with the idea for the pattern on the bottom of the Nike shoe with an idea he got from his wife's waffle iron. My dad worked for a guy who lived next door to Bowerman & he told my dad that story. |
Thanks galaxyguys, I'll watch it the plot and the trailer are good enough also the cast. Tetris movie was pretty cool btw. This movie will be nice to watch b4 bed. |
There was a Russian Player better than Jordan But he died in a car crash like "They" usaully get rid of people |
Lol their was hundreds of dudes better than Jordan. He just had the best shoe. And the backing of a whole community. Its only a shoe. Big deal. |
