One of the most unique and forgotten British bands of the 1970s was organized by the British poet Jim Betjeman. Doggeral Bank in their work, according to the poet and vocalist William Wright, wove an art-rock mixture of harmonium, violin, viola, harp, mandolin, piano , organ, concertino, mini Moog, electric guitar, drums and percussion. Associated with The Bonzo Dog Band. And although they released the single Seed Of Love / Down On The Farm on Charisma and two interesting innovative albums - Silver Face and Mister Skillicorn Dances, however, their fame was limited outside of England and the group broke up. Susan Baker participated in the creation of The Who's Tommy soundtrack. A very interesting British formation that released two discs on the progressive label Charisma. An interesting mixture of pozzy and rock music, which is a cross between "Monty Python", Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band and "The Hare Who Lost His Spectacles" by Jethro Tull. The main vocalist mostly recites verses of his own composition against the background of rather good music (even somewhere in the chamber key). The instrumentalists here are notorious: for example, guitarist Gary Boyle simultaneously played in Isotope, and bassist Tony Campo came from Greenslade. There is also a saloon violin, oboe and piano. Some things are humorous and hilarious, in the typical British tradition of local comic groups, others are more serious. Lots of varied vocals in the form of numerous recitatives.
