| Lightning is very difficult to predict, which greatly increases the cost of scenes that require it. Not to mention the number extra's which need to be replaced, or refuse to take stand on their marks during a thunder storm. |

| You should watch the whole series. It is well worth your time. Straight from Bernard Cornwell's The Saxon Stories. They tell the tale of Alfred the Great and his descendants through the eyes of Uhtred, an English boy born in ninth-century Northumbria, captured by the Danes and taught the Viking ways. |

| Maybe the film-makers wanted that l k like how 'Tetris' was filmed in Glasgow, Scotchland because there the buildings all lk Soviet-era and the weather is damp, dark and gloomy, a perfect stand-in for Moscow, Russia |
