Adonis Johnson is the son of the famous boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died in a boxing match in Rocky IV (1985). Adonis wasn't born until after his father's death and wants to follow his fathers footsteps in boxing. He seeks a mentor who is the former heavyweight boxing champion and former friend of Apollo Creed, the retired Rocky Balboa. Rocky eventually agrees to mentor Adonis. With Rocky's help they hope to get a title job to face even deadlier opponents than his father. But whether he is a true fighter remains to be seen....

Adonis Johnson non ha mai conosciuto il padre, il famoso campione del mondo di pesi massimi Apollo Creed, morto prima che egli nascesse.
Ciò nonostante, non può negare che la boxe faccia parte del suo codice genetico, decidendo di spostarsi a Philadelphia, città in cui il genitore ebbe un leggendario incontro con un allora esordiente di nome Rocky Balboa.
Una volta a destinazione, Adonis fa di tutto per incontrare Rocky per chiedergli di divenire il suo allenatore.
Nonostante sia fuori allenamento da tempo, Rocky vede nel giovane la stessa forza e determinazione che aveva conosciuto in suo padre e accetta l'incarico.
Sebbene abbia un avversario molto più letale da affrontare nella vita privata, Rocky riuscirà a farne un campione, forgiandone anche il carattere.

Creed 2 (2018)
La vita di Adonis Creed è diventata un equilibrio tra gli impegni personali e l'allenamento per il suo prossimo grande combattimento:
la sfida della sua vita.
Affrontare un avversario legato al passato della sua famiglia, non fa altro che rendere più intenso il suo imminente incontro sul ring.

All'improvviso, nella vita del campione si ripresenta Damian Anderson (Jonathan Majors):
amico di infanzia che ha appena finito di scontare una condanna lunga 18 anni, ma soprattutto ex prodigio della boxe tornato in pista per riprendersi tutto quello che ha perso.
