Unfortunately, there is not as much on the Web about this wonderful group of materials as we would like. All that is known about her is that she was founded in France in the late seventies, and managed to record only one album.
This album was released in 1979, that is, at a time when the style in which the group worked lost its relevance for the vast majority of listeners. Most likely, that's why the group was not appreciated by contemporaries, who decided that they didn't need "another ANGE" and sent her record "to the dustbin of history". In 2001, the French company "Musea Records" took her album from this very dump, cleaned it up, polished it, and laid it out for the judgment of the modern public. The vast majority of today's progressive fans appreciated the record, and many even consider it one of the best works in art rock in general. Indeed, the music, which is a cross between ANGE (which is called the "French GENESIS") and VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR, may well be considered the quintessential art-rock of the seventies. Powerful, gloomy and rather harsh sound goes very well with the strong and emotional voice of the vocalist, who sings in the spirit of Christian Decamps from ANGE, and the French language only adds charm and emphasizes the expression and drama of the music. The structure of the compositions is complex and interesting, the arrangements are not at the level, the professionalism of the performers is beyond doubt, so even with all the desire to criticize the record, somehow it is impossible to find a "rotten barrel" in it.
All in all, all fans of classic art rock are highly recommended to at least listen to the ARACHNOID album, and it seems that the only thing that puzzles us is that this record is the only thing that pleased us with the band.
