Another lgbtxyz agenda driven movie. I was worried, has not been one come out since what, yesterday? |
Doesn't seem to be male-oriented though my little dud. You might be disappointed all the same |
Well a vast majority of all movie characters are straight...I don't know why anyone complains when there is a gay character or just a movie with a whole plot revolving around gay people....the 2nd is one you'd never watch and in a main stream movie with a gay character...so what? I don't know why it bothers anyone. |
Lesbian themed movies aren't spit upon with vitriol as much as Gay male stories because straight men have always been taught that two girls together is hot. |
It bothers people because it is not normal & gay people would not be here without straight people reproducing. Just human nature. Not using flesh for Unnatural Reasons. |
@Guest-1028 Yep, I have often thought that if our Stone Age ancestors had spent all day having 'fun' and not reproducing we would have died out within a generation |
So lgbtqia+ don't reproduce (well, they do, 21st century technology and all), what's the big deal? Isn't the planet crowded enough already? |
I though she was either the girl from Jurassic Park or Björk. Deeply disappointed to find out she's neither. |
Nice bit of revisionism in the blurb. Maggie's Section 28 didn't stigmatise gays, it just outlawed the "promotion" of homosexuality in schools. I was in my 20s in the 80s and my gay friends were having a great time (pre-AIDS, y'see). Of course, if you were left-wing, you hated Maggie... Useless trivia: My oldest friend played guitar on the "Maggie! Maggie! Maggie! song on the soundtrack |
Ding Dong the wicked witch IS dead, unfortunate it wasn't thirty or forty years earlier HH |
Watching these movies with Maggie Thatcher giving a speech on the DER (Domestic Electrical Rentals) 'color' TV in the corner sends a shiver down the spine |
Guest 1028 Said: It bothers people because it is not normal & gay people would not be here without straight people reproducing. Just human nature. Not using flesh for Unnatural Reasons. If by "unnatural" you mean homosexuality does not happen in nature, you're about as wrong as you can possibly be: Roughgarden, J. (2017). Homosexuality and evolution: A critical appraisal. In On Human Nature: Biology, Psychology, Ethics, Politics, and Religion, ed. M. Tibayrenc and F. J. Ayala, pp. 495–516. New York: Academic Press. And, if instead you mean homosexuality should "not" happen in nature, then you are simply expressing an opinion borne of bigotry and homophobia. Also, if someone is going to remark about not being "afraid" of homosexuality, Merriam-Webster's definition of homophobia is as follows: noun -- irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or gay people. Note the "aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or gay people." Homophobia does not necessarily mean "fear of", it can mean that a homophobe is simply being irrational. |
But a phobia is a fear of; ir/rationality doesn't come into it I have a genuine fear of spiders , an arachnophobe; you can say I am being 'irrational' but the fear is still there nonetheless |
Guest-3324, irrationality does come into it. A fear of a spider that can cause no harm for example, is an irrational fear. Argue with whatever national psychological agency your country uses and the Merriam-Webster editors. All I've done is given you an official definition, it's not mine, it's what the word means. |
If I could be bothered to talk my dust old paper dictionary of off the shelf I will bet the family farm that it gives a very much different definition Well, I can tell you now that the nearest it gets is homophonic Seems like homophobe has slipped into the lexicon since it was published half a century ago : |
As these things do Guest-1313, as these things do My father gave me a 1930s encyclopedia that his father gave him... published about 20 years before Watson and Crick & DNA. I love it |
Or do you not know that unrighteous people will not inherit God’s Kingdom?+ Do not be misled.* Those who are sexually immoral,+ idolaters,+ adulterers,+ men who submit to homosexual acts,+ men who practice homosexuality,+ 10 thieves, greedy people,+ drunkards,+ revilers, and extortioners+ will not inherit God’s Kingdom |
well at least we know you'll be right there with em still judging others with your viewpoints ... another good one would be denying others of there free will this is also a huge no no ... We'll keep the lights on for ya |
Guest-3111: "... + men ... + men..." So my wife, me and most of our friends are alright then. Good to know, good to know |
Dude don't you know that nobody pays attention to the bible. God gave people free will so satan can blind them into thinking that they no better than god. Didn't satan tempt Eve with an apple from the forbidden tree. It all goes back to that. We would not be imperfect if Eve would have eaten that apple. |
The bible doesn't have to say woman. When it says Mankind it includes women as well. Do you want it to say womenkind. |
well he didnt try and stop her either did he nor did he judge her on the spot |
He is not judging anybody. He is just reading what God said. I guess that doesn't matter. Mankind knows better than God. Mankind has done such a great job in the last 6 thousand years destroying the earth & killing millions of humans in wars. |
All this talk of gods on here amuses me. As an atheist, I care more about what I've got for dinner than what a Judeo-Christian thought construct might think of my sex life. |
I have heard her being called by many names, but "god" is deservedly rarely used for Margaret Thatcher. |
Well... at the end of the day and after your downloading is done ya'll need to say "Thank You" atleast. That way GalaxyRG will be happy for uploading this. BTW, I'm a straight guy and it doesn't matter if it's for gay or lesbo this film is... no offense guys. Again Thank You GalaxyRG. |
'Margaret Thatcher's Conservative government' Shouldn't this be in the horror section |
Thank you GalaxyRG Great A/V as ever, and the movie is a high quality drama. Good performances all-round. I'm not a fan of child actors, but most of the younger characters aren't very young kids, mostly adolescents and are played very well indeed. The story is realistic -- though I can't swear to what it was like as a queer woman in the 80s, I wasn't born until the 90s I am told however, by friends that lived it, that being gay in Thatcher's Britain was pretty unpleasant. The story is engaging, quite gripping, and the narrative is well-paced. It's no fun ride, it's a good, serious piece of drama, and well-told. Thanks again GalaxyRG |
