Franco Maria Giannini (born Aldo Parente) is a singer and composer from Rome who tried his luck with his progressive LP in the mid-70s. His musical career included participation in the 60s with the beat groups I Baronetti and Under 2000, and under the name Folkaldo he released the single "Shakidu / Vecchio Uomo" in 1972 and toured Italy. In 1974, Franco Maria released his first full-length work - the album "Affresco" on the label "Aris". Members of the bands "Quella Vecchia Locanda" and "Libra" helped to record the album, it was released in a limited edition of only 700 vinyl copies. prog artists. The market simply couldn't handle them all, which is why Italian prog is notorious for the fact that many artists, having "shot" one album, then disappeared without a trace. Giannini, unfortunately, also suffered in this regard and received practically no financial benefit from his recording, although his album became one of the rarest and most sought after among Italian prog collectors.
