During World War II, a brave, patriotic American Soldier undergoes experiments to become a new supersoldier, "Captain America." Racing to Germany to sabotage the rockets of Nazi baddie "Red Skull", Captain America winds up frozen until the 1990s. Capitan America (Captain America) è un film del 1990, diretto da Albert Pyun, basato sull'omonimo personaggio dei fumetti Marvel Comics creato nel 1941 da Joe Simon e Jack Kirby.
Il film ebbe una gestione travagliata e passò a diverse case di produzione prima di essere realizzato. Nel 1984 i diritti di Capitan America furono acquistati dalla Cannon Group, casa di produzione gestita da Menahem Golan e Yoram Globus. Inizialmente la regia fu proposta a Michael Winner, il quale avrebbe dovuto dirigere una prima sceneggiatura scritta da James Silke


Captain America is a 1990 film, directed by Albert Pyun, based on the homonymous Marvel Comics character created in 1941 by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby.
The film had troubled management and passed through several production companies before being released. In 1984 the rights to Captain America were purchased by the Cannon Group, a production company managed by Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus. Initially the direction was proposed to Michael Winner, who was supposed to direct a first script written by James Silke

Nel corso della Seconda guerra mondiale, alcuni fascisti selezionano un bambino italiano, Tadzio De Santis, per sottoporlo a degli esperimenti sulla mutazione. Creano così il Teschio Rosso, un aberrante mostro dotato di forza incredibile. Nel team medico vi è anche la dottoressa Maria Vaselli, che tenta di opporsi alla sperimentazione sugli umani, ma il tentativo fallisce ed è costretta alla fuga.
