“Teatroelementale” is a brilliantly crafted masterpiece that takes both the fragility and passion of humanity and moulds it into musical/lyrical concept that turns around the eternal live-and-outlive struggle.
Delicate melodies and mighty distortion sound are the principle on which ITQ has his roots trying to give people simply great emotions.
There will be everything from the italian tradition of Folk-Progressive Rock via an avantgardish Black Metal form a la SOLEFALD to the theatricality of the great DEVIL DOLL.
It’s a music influenced by any sound that gives emotions… each single element delivers you to be amazed and to dream.
I’m not entirely sure what any of the song titles or album title means or the band name for that matter. I think the band name probably means in tormenting silence or something like that. I do know for a fact though that this Italian band is unique and an amazing find. Combining different genres of metal into one band and throwing in atmospheric sounds and noises, the band does well in creating a unique and catchy sound.
The vocals are all in Italian as far as I know. I’m not quite sure of how many vocalists are on this album two or three maybe more. All of them do an excellent job nonetheless. The clean vocals are amazing at times they’re soaring and high and at other times they are low dark and whispery. The female vocals sound like their straight from the doom metal band Draconian which is a huge plus for me as for I am a big fan of Draconian. The harsh vocals are barked and shrieked like proper black metal vocals and are a huge high light for the vocal work on the album.
The keyboards do their part in creating chaotic, sweet melodies and atmosphere. The keyboards give the music a distinct gloomy dark feeling and a lighter happier feeling. The guitars aren’t anything spectacular but are also done very well. The guitar work is another big factor in the atmosphere department. The guitar chugs away spitting different killer riffs at you. In some songs it buzzes away like a black metal song, or it will have a more light uplifting tone to it like folk metal. The drumming is pounding and punishing. Unrelenting the drummer pounds away melodically and nicely adding to the overall sound.
This is one amazing album with great musicians and singers. I highly recommend this album to gothic metal, black metal, doom metal and folk metal fans. The only thing that I dislike about the album is the short minute long songs. I find them pointless and just fillers, though they do have good musicianship. I would probably understand the point of them more if I knew what the speaker was saying. Overall great album.
