 | Finally watched this and in my opinion this falls far short of the original. However thee were 2 pinocchios released this year, the other from Disney. And between the 2, I can say Id take this over the other as one devoid of some irking message that needs to be forcefed to its viewers. Though it has a different take from the original, but in the end it leaves the viewer lingering in thought about the story itself than count all the diversity it came across. |

 | Doesn't it make sense, when you retell a story that has been told many times, to use it as a vehicle to tell what has not yet been told? Don't they do just that when staging a Shakespeare play or an enactment of Dickens' Christmas Carol? The reference to be swallowed by a whale is in the book. And it's WWII, btw. |
