Stewart), Vito Genovese (Craig Thomas Rivela), Frank Costello (Anthony DiCarlo) and other notorious New York gangsters. From their beginnings as a neighborhood gang of teenagers to murderous entrepreneurs and bootleggers who form alliances and organized the criminal underworld, these men turned the Mafia into a global institution. Making millions, killing thousands, and changing the face of crime forever. Their authority stretches across two continents, impacting global wars and creating empires.

1)  The Education of Lucky Luciano (1906-1927)
The rise of the mafia in New York begins in the 1920s. Charles "Lucky" Luciano arrives in New York, teaming with Meyer Lansky and Bugsy Siegel. Friends Luciano, Costello, Lansky, Siegel and Genovese fight their way up as drug smugglers and hit men. The leader of the group is Charles Luciano, nicknamed "Lucky". He got his nickname after Sicilian mob boss Salvatore Maranzano had him kidnapped and tortured. Luciano barely survived and a legend was born. During Prohibition, Luciano's crew makes a fortune.
