The documentary series "Ocean Wreck Investigation" examines the reasons why ships sink. What secrets can one still find out from the undersea wrecks - and what dangers do they sometimes harbor? Be it forgotten events, spectacular accidents or armed conflicts - there are different backgrounds for the tragedies that have happened on board the ships.
Working alongside divers, wreck investigators and archaeologists, the series tells the stories of the final moments of ships and those on board as they meet disaster. Unpicking the evidence of the wreckage with state of the art CGI and the latest underwater technology and combining it with powerful personal testimony brings out the a human side of these tragedies as well as revealing the answers to the questions of what happened and why.

6) Failed Invasions
The stories of two of the greatest failed invasions in the history of naval warfare. In 1588 King Philip II of Spain assembled his Armada to sail to England and overthrow Queen Elizabeth I. Centuries later, the Allies make massive military miscalculations when their fleet is crushed by Turkish artillery in the Dardanelles. Questions remain around the dramatic sinking of French battleship Bouvet.
