| Saw this uploaded a day or two ago and brushed it off without much thought. Then, while bored and surfing for a good, unseen movie to watch with my gf, I ended up on A24's site and realized this was put out by the trending/trendy film company. I'm not going to lie, it gave the movie I initially shrugged off a little more credibility. Halfway into the trailer, despite seeing Pete Davidson, I stopped previewing and grabbed it (thanks for the upload). A24 has a lot of lesser known movies that we both really like (some of these, I just realized today... Hot Summer Nights, Under the Silver Lake, Never Going Back, American Honey, Moonlight, Slow West, Under the Skin, etc) so Bodies, Bodies, Bodies it was for movie night. We both agreed it was hard to watch... it's basically a group of social media-obsessed narcissistic girls arguing with each other over who has the most mental issues and who has screwed over in the past... all while people in the group die off one by one. Maria Bakalova's (Borat) character was likeable, but everyone else was basically the embodiment of all things social media, woke culture, anti-woke culture, self-entitlement, etc. that slowly sticks to your brain the longer you're on the internet, watching the news, etc (if that makes sense). If you are someone who watches movies to get away from all of the modern day, practically inescapable bs, I don't suggest this one. The last few minutes were a little interesting, but not enough to sit through the rest of it. Well made, well acted, good quality torrent, just not our cup of tea. Thanks again for the upload. |
