.:: TRAMA ::.
All'inizio degli anni '90, Richard Williams è un ex atleta che vive a Compton, in California, con la moglie Brandy, le tre figliastre e le sue due figlie naturali: Venus e Serena. Convinto che le sue ragazze diventeranno future campionesse del tennis, le allena tutti i giorni nei campi liberi del loro quartiere malfamato e visita instancabilmente i principali tennis club dello Stato per convincere le alte sfere del tennis a prendere le figlie sotto la loro ala. Insistente e autoritario, Richard guiderà e seguirà passo passo le carriere di Venus e Serena (quest'ultima più giovane di due anni dalla sorella), arrivando a realizzare tutti i suoi sogni, anche a costo di perdere la stima della moglie.
