## This Torrent

Each book in this series comes with online access to professionally-produced
reference recordings of each piece in the book. This torrent includes all of
these recordings, in their original audio as they were found on RCM's website,
with added metadata tags for easy searching and browsing in a real music
player.

The primary motivation for making this torrent is to make it easy for teachers
and students to quickly access any song from any grade, without the limitations
of the RCM website's user interface.

The secondary motivation is to remove unnecessary barriers to a musical
education. Most of the sheet music in this collection is already free to
download from websites like the IMSLP. The trouble is finding songs to play at
an appropriate difficulty level. This torrent helps with this.

An interesting side effect to this work is that it is just a nice collection of
songs to listen to—at least, the higher levels—even for people with no
intention of learning Western classical piano.

Also, there are actually 524 pieces in this series. RCM's own count is off :D.
I've also included `get`, the python script I used to automatically download
all of these recordings, for the morbidly curious.
