DAVID CHALMERS began his professional career as a rock musician in 1967, playing lead guitar with The Dark Side, based in Illinois and Iowa, and later with Butterscotch Grove, managed by Irv Azoff. , (later with Eagles, Joe Walsh, and REO Speedwagon)... In the first half of the 70s, he was part of the Smokey Roe project, leaving almost no records.
With his own band, The Dave Chalmers Band, toured the Midwest from 1976 through the early 80s, sharing the stage with countless artists: Journey, Tom Petty, Climax Blues Band, The Outlaws etc. Columbia and Capitol/United Artists Records fought for the right to publish three albums of original music. The 4th already recorded album, and the 5th acoustic - were postponed for some reason "for later" and never came out.
From the beginning of the 80s - and throughout the 90s he performed with concerts in the state of California and the surrounding area as part of the author's project "DC Dance Band".Currently owns a recording studio in Loomis, California. By working with old analog technology and combining it with new digital advances, the studio has discovered new forms and methods of creating sound.
