Berlin. The well-orchestrated life of Hélène Berg is turned upside down by a phone call. Her daughter Anya, a student in Paris, is accused of murder. Convinced of her daughter's innocence, Hélène takes the first plane to Paris. She promises to her husband and her son, in the middle of the high school diploma, that she will bring Anya home very soon, that it is all a tragic misunderstanding - On the spot, Hélène leads her own investigation, helped by Vincent, a French lawyer - and also her first love, whom she had not seen for twenty years.
